Don was elected to the US National Academy of Engineering as recognition for his accomplishments in supply chain and logistics optimization. He was founder and CEO of CAPS Logistics (acquired by INFOR) a pioneer in the development of logistics software. He was a distinguished faculty member at Georgia Tech where he was UPS Professor of Logistics. While there he founded and served as executive director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute, one of the world’s leaders in last mile logistics research, and the Georgia Tech Panama Logistics Innovation & Research Center. He also served as chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Logistics & Supply Chains. He has consulted for some of the biggest delivery companies in the world including UPS, USPS, Coca Cola and Waste Management. Don received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Johns Hopkins University.
Amar is an expert on both supply chain and logistics technology and on business process modeling. He did research and teaching in both areas as a professor at École de Technologie Superieure (ETS), Laval University and University of Quebec. He developed deep industry expertise in these areas as Vice President of EMEA for Caps Logistics, Vice President Solutions for the Baan Company (an ERP company acquired by INFOR) and as founder and President of Bluesail Solutions (a provider of innovative solutions for business process modeling). Amar is currently Executive Director of the Logistics Institute at University of Hull. He received a BS in Industrial Engineering from University of Quebec, a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique and a Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Harvey is an expert on last mile delivery systems. He spent 16 years with the United States Postal Service where he served in a variety of engineering and management positions, including manager of Decision Support Systems and general manager of Distribution Networks. Harvey also served as managing director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech. He received a B.S. and M.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama, as well as a M.S. in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
